In July 2023, URCA became part of the European Alliance INVEST– INnoVations for rEgional SusTainability, focused on sustainable regional development, innovative pedagogy, and new training programs.

The INVEST alliance aims to promote:

  • Entrepreneurship and leadership,

  • Critical thinking,

  • Responsibility and civic awareness towards sustainable development.

The Manager of the RD&I INVEST Center of Excellence's primary objective is to coordinate and to implement the six tasks outlined in Work Package 6 in cooperation with consortium members and other partners.

Mission 1: Management of WP6

  • Monitor the tasks and steps necessary for the progress of WP6, ensure the implementation of the action plan as defined in the project, and assist in the preparation and drafting of deliverables to the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, in collaboration with the local coordinator URCA and the INVEST URCA project manager;

  • Monitor WP expenses, control their allocation and execution, respecting the deadlines of the project's various stages;

  • Track monitoring and evaluation indicators for all WP tasks;

  • Ensure communication and synergies with other Work Packages.

Mission 2: Coordinate the operation of the Center of Excellence

  • Organize the governance bodies of the Center: meetings of councils and organs, draft invitations and minutes, prepare agendas, collect information from members and stakeholders, disseminate content;

  • Plan and organize Center-related events: periodic meetings, workshops, conferences, in collaboration with the INVEST communication and events officer;

  • Manage the logistical, administrative, financial, and scientific aspects of hosting and traveling for Center members;

  • Manage the members of scientific teams, center governance, and partners: create and maintain a database of members in connection with the WP7 related task;

  • Maintain relations with other structures and partners.

Mission 3: Coordinate the Center of Excellence's Research Program

  • Establish procedures for Center actions and draft calls;

  • Promote the program and its actions within the Center, URCA, and other partners and associates;

  • Support the search for co-financing for actions.

Mission 4: Scientific Animation and Communication within and outside the Center of Excellence

  • Rally and coordinate the research teams created for each Center's research priority;

  • Propose internal and external communication actions to promote the Center of Excellence, its research teams, and its developed themes and projects;

  • Populate the Center's platform and the dedicated INVEST institutional website section.

Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree +5

Knowledge of the functioning of French and European research

Minimum 3 years of experience, including some in an international environment

Experience in the research field

Mastery of legal, administrative, and financial mechanisms related to research structuring

Proficiency in English language: C1

Proficiency in French language: B2

Project management methodology
